Father Andrew Lee   

Father Andrew Lee is from the Korean Missionary Society. It is a foreign mission group that was establised in 1975 for the purpose of contribution to world mission of the Church. Its members are about 75 priests doing missions in countries like China, Cambodia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Mexico, Mozambique, and so on. Father Andrew, joined the Society in 2002 and was ordained in 2010.  After completing language courses in the Philippines and Canada, he came to Alaska in November 2012. Since then, he has served as a parochial vicar in the Matanuska Valley for about 3.5 yrs at Sacred Heart in Wasilla, Our Lady of the Lake in Big Lake, and St. Christopher’s in Willow. Father Andrew likes to watch movies, enjoys sports, and is trying to learn how to fish since he recently got a fishing rod. 


Father Michael Kim

Father Michael Kim is a member of the Korean Missionary Society, and is the third priest currently serving the Archdiocese of Anchorage from the Society. He was ordained as a priest in 2010, then he studied at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, California. He received a degree on missiology, a theological study of mission in 2016. After he went back to South Korea, he researched the history of Korean missionary movement and the spirituality of the Korean Missionary Society. He came to Alaska on August 31, 2017. He is assisting Fr. Andrew Lee as Parochial Vicar at the Holy Cross Parish, and is also covering various Archdiocesan assignments as a circuit priest, serving mission parishes without a permanent pastor. He enjoys listening to music, praying the Rosary while on a walk and visiting museums and art galleries. He wants to learn woodworking and cross-country skiing.  

DEACON William F. Finnegan, JCL

 Deacon Bill and his wife, Diane, joined Holy Cross Parish in 1992. They were married in 1964 and have 4 children & 6 grandchildren. He was ordained as a Permanent Deacon in 1981 in Memphis, TN. He received a degree in Canon Law from Catholic University in 1991. He and Diane spend part of the year in Arizona. He is also assigned to Holy Cross Parish in Mesa, AZ. Deacon Bill functions as a Judge in the Tribunals of Anchorage and Phoenix.


DEACON Bill Tunilla

Deacon Bill was stationed in Anchorage in 1980, he met his wife Sherry and they were married in Sumter, South Carolina in 1986.  Bill retired from the US Air Force and the family joined Holy Cross Parish at the invitation of Fr. Ernie.  Over the years, Bill and Sherry have served the church in a variety of ways, acting as coordinators for the Altar Servers, RCIA, Baptism Preparation and Worldwide Marriage Encounter.   Bill is a Knight of Columbus 4th Degree and was recently ordained as a permanent Deacon for the Archdiocese of Anchorage on May 1st, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe.  Bill and Sherry are blessed with 5 children, 3 grandchildren and Sherry’s Mom, Wanda.  



Theresa has been Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for Holy Cross Parish for 15 years. She is married and has three children. She enjoys singing, teaching, hanging out with the youth and watching her kids play hockey. She facilitates the youth nights on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, and runs Faith Formation on Tuesday nights at Hanshew, overseeing grades PreK-12 and adult classes. She is the Coordinator of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and the entire Confirmation Preparation Program. She started the Frassati Society for young adults in Alaska and is working toward that group growing in ministry and prayer. The Frassati Society for young adults meets every other Sunday evening for fellowship, service and prayer from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Theresa has been active in coordinating the Alaska Catholic Youth Conference and World Youth Day pilgrimages for youth in Alaska for several years now and will continue to do so with other Youth Ministers from throughout the state.
